Wake Forest University Tuition
The decision to invest in your education is one of the most important you will make, and it is important to know the details of that investment. Total tuition for the online Graduate School of Arts and Sciences varies per program and is outlined below. You should keep in mind that tuition increases are typically between 3% and 6% for either program.

Master of Arts in Counseling

Payments

Deacon Electronic Account Center (DEAC)

Wake Forest University provides students, and authorized payers, online access to their financial accounts via the Deacon Electronic Account Center (DEAC). This system permits students and authorized payers to view accounts activity in real-time, 24/7. Students and authorized payers may also make tuition payments by accessing DEAC.

In 2003, Wake Forest stopped accepting credit cards due to high credit card fees and consequently, the online payment system does not accept credit card payment for tuition. Payments are made via e-check through an Authorized Clearinghouse (ACH), which is accessible via DEAC. Students can use a credit card payment option if they opt to use the monthly payment program outlined below.

DEAC accounts are automatically set up for all new incoming students. DEAC may be accessed from http://www.wfu.edu/fas/ar/deac/ or once logged into WIN, https://win.wfu.edu/.

Payment Plan

An interest-free, monthly payment plan is available through FACTS Tuition Management (Nelnet). Payment methods that are accepted through the plan are Electronic funds transfer (eCheck) from a checking or savings account or debit/credit card (MasterCard, Discover and American Express only). A convenience fee of 2.7% per transaction is charged for credit/debit card
payments. A nonrefundable $85 enrollment fee per semester is charged to participate in the plan. The enrollment fee is a separate transaction from the first scheduled payment. The enrollment periods are:

  • FALL            April 1 – July 1
  • SPRING       August 1 – November 1
  • SUMMER    December 1 - March 1

Third Party Payments

Wake Forest University permits students to set up DEAC accounts for authorized users. Authorized users can make online payments on behalf of the respectivestudent.

To set up an authorized user account, the student must begin the process online at: http://wfu.edu/fas/ar/deac.

Account Responsibility

Students are financially responsible for making payment to the University. Failure to receive a statement does not warrant exemption from the payment of tuition and fees or from penalties and restrictions. Failure to pay balances due on a student account may result in a financial hold. This hold will prevent registration, change of registration and processing of official transcripts. This hold does not prevent transmission of grades. Students will be required to make payment for tuition, fees, required deposits and any past-due balance atthe time of registration.
